Meet Fred West

My Background

I describe myself as a lifelong learner, constantly seeking to deepen my knowledge—whether through studying Biblical history and apologetics or refining my skills in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Before becoming a counselor, I served as a volunteer firefighter in Northern Michigan for over 10 years. That experience taught me what it means to carry a heavy load in silence. I understand the pressure of having to be 'the strong one,' whether you are a first responder, a parent, or a survivor trying to rebuild. My office is a space where you can finally set that weight down.

I hold a B.S. in Christian Counseling from Liberty University and am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty’s CACREP-accredited program. I recently completed a study abroad in England, which deepened my passion for multicultural counseling. Outside the office, I am a husband, a father of three, and a Detroit Lions fan who enjoys off-roading and video games.
